DALLAS — One person died after they were shot in Oak Lawn, Dallas police said. Officers responded around 1:20 a.m. to the 4100 block of Cedar Springs Road, Dallas police said in a statement. Investigators found that a man was shot at the location, the release states. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene, and the man was pronounced dead.

Marko Chavez, 22, was arrested in connection to the death of Gilber and faces a murder charge, police said. He is currently booked at the Dallas County jail.
