When the Orioles traded right-hander Bryan Baker to the Rays in exchange for the No. 37 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft on Thursday morning, it appeared Baltimore’s Trade Deadline strategy may be set.

It’s Friday, July 11 and the Marlins (42-50) are in Baltimore to take on the Orioles (42-50). Edward Cabrera is slated to take the mound for Miami against Dean Kremer for Baltimore.

Kittredge did not look too sharp. He allowed a single to lead-off hitter Jesús Sánchez, and then served up a two-run homer to Otto Lopez, his 10th long ball of the season. But he settled in from there, retiring the next three batters he faced to close out the Orioles 5-2 win.
