The New York Mets added some depth to their outfield when they added Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins at the MLB trade deadline.

For 2025, Mullins is owed the balance of an $8.73 million salary, and he's eligible for free agency this coming offseason. Prior to this trade, Mullins had spent his entire professional career with the Orioles, who first drafted him in the 13th round of the 2015 MLB Draft out of Campbell University.

The Mets didn’t disappoint in 2025’s MLB Trade Deadline. As promised by Mets president of baseball operations David Stearns, they reinvented their bullpen by adding three top-tier pieces (Gregory Soto, Ryan Helsley and Tyler Rogers) and upgraded at center field (Cedric Mullins).
