NVIDIA has today announced it will invest $5 billion in Intel as part of a new collaboration between the two companies. In a statement, NVIDIA said it would work with its ailing rival to “jointly develop multiple generations of custom data center and PC products.”
Mr Huang is in a celebratory mood. Hobnobbing with kings and presidents is one sign of his extraordinary ascent, thanks to Nvidia’s pivotal role in generative artificial intelligence ( AI) that has made it the world’s most valuable company, worth $4.3trn. He is also using his position to play a shrewd political game.
Jensen Huang said the US needs "to make sure that that people can access this technology from all over the world".

U.S. chip designer Nvidia has signed a letter of intent for a possible $500 million investment in the next funding round at Britain's Wayve, the autonomous driving technology group said on Thursday. The development comes after Britain and the United States signed a technology pact aimed at boosting ties in artificial intelligence and other fields.
While Nvidia has refrained from making splashy acquisitions, it's taking stakes in other AI firms, making sure they continue orbiting around it.
