SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Tuesday evening marked the Opening Day at Four Winds Field, where the South Bend Cubs took on the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Fans from all over came to join in on the fun.

A host of local leaders, Cubs team representatives, lawmakers and more signed the final steel beam put in place for the new second deck at Four Winds Field on Wednesday.

The topping out ceremony marks the halfway point of the expansion of Four Winds Field. Officials say the project will be completed by Opening Day 2026.
