LINCOLN, N.H. The owners of Loon Mountain ski area have announced they will sell the resort and three other ski areas to a Florida company but will continue to operate Loon under a lease agreement.

Wildcat Moutain Ski Area: Gorham, NH Attitash Mountain Resort: Bartlett, NH Loon Mountain Ski Resort: Lincoln, NH All resorts listed, except for Wildcat Mountain, are set to reopen on Wednesday.

For some, Wednesday's fresh snow meant breaking out the shovels for the first time in months, while for others, it was time to head north and take some runs at their favorite mountain.

Ski New Hampshire said snow-making improvements were made at Gunstock, Loon Mountain Resort, Whaleback Mountain, Pats Peak, Cranmore Mountain Resort, Mount Sunapee, and Wildcat Mountain.
