A lottery player in New Jersey won $1 million in the Monday, Jan. 19 Powerball drawing.

Mega Millions drawings take place every week on Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.

Someone in North Carolina is holding a Powerball ticket worth $209.3 million, according to the N.C. Education Lottery. It happened in the Wednesday night drawing, so the winner may not yet know. "The win came with a single ticket that matched all six numbers in the drawing.

Paramount Skydance says Warner Bros. Discovery now has until February 20 to accept its $108.4 billion acquisition offer.

The winner chose to take the money in a lump-sum pre-tax amount of $834.9 million, the lottery said in a statement.
