Fourteen or 15 people are displaced due to the fire that happened Wednesday morning at Elvyn Lea Lodge on M-75 in Walloon Lake, WPBN/WGTU reports. No injuries were reported. The residents were taken to a local church to await the arrival of the American Red Cross and Salvation Army.

The view line on SWPC's dashboard map shows people in up to nine states could see the northern lights, or aurora borealis, Thursday night. Michiganders as far south as West Branch, Cadillac and Manistee may be able to see the glowing lights in the night sky to the north, NOAA says.
