The Quinault Rain Forest is ripe for exploring and is especially nice for families looking to escape the crowds in the more popular areas of Olympic National Park.
The area’s centerpiece is scenic Lake Quinault, 4 miles long by 2 miles wide, 250 feet down at its deepest, carved by glaciers and surrounded by rain forest.
Surrounded by the Quinault Rain Forest, Lake Quinault Lodge ’s snug, contemporary rooms have lake or woodland vistas and amenities like fireplaces, balconies, and terraces.
OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — The footbridge over Kestner Creek along the Kestner Homestead Loop in the Quinault Rain Forest will be closed from Monday through June 23 for repairs.
