The last-place Pittsburgh Pirates have no interest in trading young ace Paul Skenes. General manager Ben Cherington says moving the 22-year-old Skenes is ‘not part of the conversation at all.’
Paul Skenes put together the first complete game of his big league career on Sunday, May 18 in Philadelphia; naturally, the Pirates lost 1-0.
Andrew McCutchen was in awe of what Paul Skenes accomplished last season, when the 22-year-old right-hander started for the National League in the All-Star Game, won rookie of the year honors and finished third in Cy Young voting in a historic campaign.
