Apple designed its Liquid Glass interface to appear layered, as if the buttons you’re tapping on the screen are tangible elements.

Apple has officially released iOS 26 to everyone, and while changes like Liquid Glass make the update impossible to miss, there are plenty of useful new features that aren’t as obvious.

When you open Safari after installing iOS 26, you’ll notice that the URL bar is now just a small pill at the bottom of the screen, next to a tiny back button and an even smaller refresh button. All your other old navigation features are instead hidden away in either the three-dots menu, or behind various swipes and long presses.

iOS 26 is now available to download and install for all supported iPhones, and it's a whopper of an update.

While the company did not give a specific release time, its history in the past indicate a 10am Pacific Time window which translates to 10:30 PM India Time.
