The final round of the Genesis Invitational generated great ratings for the PGA Tour even without Tiger Woods, who pulled out of the tournament.

Woods is the tournament host of the Genesis Invitational, this year played at Torrey Pines in San Diego. He had committed to play the day of the entry deadline, but that was three days after his mom Kultida passed away and he subsequently withdrew, saying in a statement, " I'm just not ready ."

Trump, whose grandfather is President Donald Trump, played during the weekend tournament, while Woods opted to not participate competitively after recently losing his mother.
