CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Charlotte postal worker and another person have been sentenced to prison for a scheme involving stolen checks worth more than $24 million, according to the U.S.
This also included more than $8 million in stolen U.S. Treasury checks. The three defendants received hundreds of thousands of dollars in criminal proceeds from the mail theft scheme.
"[The total] includes over $12 million in stolen checks that were posted for sale on the Telegram channel OG Glass House, and more than $8 million in stolen U.S. Treasury checks," the release added.
