Joe Casello, a Democratic state representative from Boynton Beach, died Friday following a heart attack earlier this month. He died surrounded by his family and girlfriend, Florida House Democratic Caucus said on X late Friday night. He was 73.

Casello was a long-time firefighter. He who jumped into local politics in 2013 before being elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2018. He was 73.
