One man is counting his blessings despite having no place to call home after Friday night’s tornado in Pulaski County. Pulaski County Schools is one of the districts here in southern Kentucky weighing how to finish out the school year.
The district announced on Tuesday, May 20, that administrators have decided that students will not return to classrooms.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — As recovery continues from Friday night’s devastating tornado outbreak, officials have released the names of the 17 people who lost their lives in Laurel County, now confirmed by Coroner Doug Bowling.
The twister had max winds of 170 mph, a max width of 1700 yards and traveled 55.6 miles, according to the National Weather Service.
When a tornado tore through Laurel County Friday night, CHI St. Joseph Hospital in London was thrust into action in mere minutes.
The family's home was picked up and thrown across the street when a tornado ripped through the area, destroying everything they own.
Because of the dark, stormy conditions, Laurel County Fire Department officials are unsure if he knew who he was saving.
Since the storm, she, her family and friends have been sifting through the debris, hoping to find anything they can save.
