The Bears hope to measure receiver Luther Burden III’s absence in days, not weeks, as he recovers from a hamstring injury suffered during OTAs.

The Chicago Bears are without three of their 2025 draft picks in the early days of training camp. Second-rounders Luther Burden III and Shemar Turner are out with injuries while fifth-round selection Zah Frazier is away from the team for personal reasons, coach Ben Johnson said before Thursday's practice.

"Head coach Ben Johnson told reporters on Thursday morning that receiver Luther Burden is still dealing with a soft-tissue injury that has lingered from the offseason program and will not practice," writes Pro Football Talk's Myles Simmons. "But Johnson added he’s hopeful that Burden will be sidelined for just a few days."
