OAKLAND — A gun battle early Sunday at an underground East Oakland nightclub left a 24-year-old man hit by a stray bullet dead, authorities said. The shooting that claimed the life of Fernando Castillo Rodriguez happened about 3:44 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of 85th Avenue, at the site of an underground nightclub, authorities said.
