Saudi Arabia, Pakistan ink defence agreement
Digest more
Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir has devised a broader strategic plan that includes the recent defense pact with Saudi Arabia, aimed at strengthening Pakistan's military alliances and defense exports.
This is Pakistan’s most significant formal defense pact in decades, and the first such agreement that an Arab Gulf state has inked with a nuclear-armed partner.
The kingdom signed a new defense pact with Pakistan a week after Israel carried out a missile attack targeting Hamas political officials in Qatar, another key U.S. Arab Gulf partner.
