The New England Patriots have two new members to their Hall of Fame. Bill Parcells and Julian Edelman received induction Sunday into New England's Hall of Fame. Edelman won the fan vote out of five finalists and owner Robert Kraft brought Parcells in as well,
Jabrill Peppers showed the Patriots what they lost when they shockingly released him before the season began. The Steelers safety forced a fumble on Antonio Gibson in the third quarter and amassed six tackles in Pittsburgh’s 21-14 win over New England at Gillette Stadium.
“I appreciate it,” he said quietly, “but I’ve got to hold on to the ball to have value and put value on this team. If I can’t hold on to the ball, they don’t need me.”
After allowing two quick touchdowns to begin the game, the defense kept the Patriots in the game for the remaining 43 minutes of the contest. Credit coaches for identifying two issues early in the game by benching linebacker Christian Elliss and cornerback Alex Austin after the Steelers’ initial scoring drives.
