To date, Sony has released about 19 games on PC, with plans to bring more games uncertain. If the rumors are true, fans will know at least two specific games that will not be released on PC and will be exclusive to PlayStation.

PlayStation is giving away free rewards to those who make a PlayStation Network account for its PC games lineup.

PlayStation announced that it will be offering some in-game rewards for those who play its games on PC while logged in to a PSN account. PlayStation also clarified that a PSN account will become optional for select titles on PC, which is a change from previous mandatory PSN account requirements on PC.

As most sensible PlayStation owners will tell you, Sony needs strong opposition to keep them in check. Without it any company that ends up with a monopoly (just look at Nintendo during the NES era) will become anti-consumer, no matter what good intentions they had when they were challenging the previous incumbent.

Sony is dropping the need to link some of its PC games to a PSN account, but it will offer in-game rewards to those who do sign in.
