The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a new two-year extension with safety DeShon Elliott, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports. Elliott’s new deal will be a two-year, $12.5 million deal with $9.21 million in guaranteed money. It keeps under contract through the 2027 season, meaning Elliott will likely see most of those years.

NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young is critical of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ match with Aaron Rodgers, who he does not see as a philosophical fit for the offense. Rodgers has become a quick-game thrower, something that Arthur Smith’s offenses do have, but Young could see the team getting too reliant on that fact and falling into mediocrity.
