Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Saturday that injured starter Shota Imanaga will join the team in St. Louis and make his next start in the major leagues.

Chicago Cubs lefty Shota Imanaga, on the injured list since May 5 with a left hamstring strain, will return and pitch in St. Louis next week.

Imanaga's injured-list stay, which began May 5, will end soon, returning the All-Star lefty to a Cubs rotation that's faced numerous injuries this season.
