The Louisiana attorney general announced the arrest of a jail employee in connection with the escape of 10 New Orleans inmates.

One of the 10 inmates who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center last week had previously escaped from a north Louisiana detention center in 2019, according to authorities.

Massey threatened to shank him if he didn’t turn off the water to the cell they used in their breakout, according to a search warrant affidavit.
