“It’s unclear if the promotion puts Bazzana in line to make his big league debut this season. He is a second baseman and the Guardians just moved Brayan Rocchio, their opening day shortstop, to second base. Rocchio has been playing good defense and contributing offensively.

Injuries upset those plans as Travis Bazzana, Chase DeLauter and Juan Brito spent considerable time on the injured list. While DeLauter and Brito are still injured, Bazzana was promoted to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday from Double-A Akron.

Bazzana, Akron's second baseman, along with right-handed pitchers Tommy Mace and Ross Carver, and catcher Cooper Ingle, have all been promoted from the RubberDucks to the Columbus Clippers
