During his news conference on Friday, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid provided context for Mahomes' injury. Reid gave a telling remark, telling reporters Mahomes was so unbothered by the issue that the quarterback had no idea on what play the injury occurred.

The Chiefs are in an unfamiliar position at 0-2 for the first time since that 2014 season, the last time they didn’t win a division title.
