The Javier Báez renaissance is in full swing and it continued Tuesday night. Baez slugged two three-run home runs against the Boston Red Sox, including a walk-off blast down two runs in the 11th inning ( DET 10, BOS 9 ). The win improved the Detroit Tigers to an American League best 28-15. They've won 10 of their last 13 games.
Now playing center field, Báez is hitting .319 with an .870 OPS for a Tigers team with the best record in the American League.
Báez punctuated one of the most unexpected resurgences in the sport on Tuesday night, launching two home runs -- including a three-run walk-off blast in the 11th inning -- to lift the Tigers to a thrilling 10–9 win over the Boston Red Sox at Comerica Park.
Baez thrilled the hometown fans at Comerica Park with a three-run shot that traveled 392 feet at an exit velocity of 106 miles per hour and a launch angle of 23 degrees. Baez's home run was his fourth of the season and 24th run batted in of the season as the Tigers did their best to take control of a challenging game in the Motor City.

Update: The Dodgers have designated Austin Barnes for assignment and called up Dalton Rushing, further contributing to the catcher clutter. Rushing is a high-end prospect who will obviously serve as backup catcher and also sneak in some starts in the outfield. He slots 18th at the position for now.
