WhatsApp has finally launched an iPad app, after years of pleading from users. The tablet will now be able to receive and send messages and take part in group chats just like a phone. Meta acknowledged that the app was “one of our biggest requests”.

Regardless of the lack of fanfare from Meta, WhatsApp and iPad fans will be happy that 15 years after Apple’s tablet debuted, and 16 years after the app debuted, it’s now usable on the iPad.
