Hurricane Gabrielle now a Category 3 with 120 mph winds

Hurricane Gabrielle is now expected to become a major Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph as rapidly as Monday night, according to a National Hurricane Center forecast. However, it is expected to weaken quickly afterward as it hits drier air and wind shear, forecasters said.
Hurricane Gabrielle is intensifying and is forecast to pass east of Bermuda with maximum sustained winds of 90 mph. As of 5:00 a.m. Monday, September 22, the center was near 30.0, -62.5, moving NNW at 10 mph.
Tropical Storm Gabrielle is strengthening and expected to reach hurricane status this weekend, the National Hurricane Center said in its latest update Friday.
The armada of about forty vessels is now roughly 1,000 miles from the coast of Gaza. The Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla has grown in size after the vessels that made up its initial group from Spain joined around twenty vessels from Sicily on Thursday.
Tropical Depression 7 is expected to become Tropical Storm Gabrielle in the Atlantic on Sept. 17, according to the National Hurricane Center.
