It is official, the Dallas Stars and assistant, Steve Spott, have parted ways. It was announced that he was hired by the Boston Bruins to join Marco Sturm's coaching staff.

Spott, 57, joins the Bruins organization with 10 seasons of coaching experience following stints with the San Jose Sharks, Vegas Golden Knights, and the Dallas Stars.

Spott ran Dallas’ power play during his three-year run with the Stars, with the club ranking seventh in power-play percentage (23.7 percent) over those last three seasons.
