The Lynx attempted 3s on each of their first five shots, missing three before Napheesa Collier knocked down the fourth attempt at 1:55 into the game. The Mercury struggled at times against Collier, who scored 10 points, including two 3-pointers.
The Lynx shut down the Mercury in the second half to win Game 1 of the WNBA semifinals by a score of 82–69.
