Vignesh Shivan (born 18 September 1985) is an Indian film director, film producer, screenwriter, actor and lyricist who works in Tamil cinema, making films of various genres.

In 1995, Vignesh appeared in six films. He starred in Chellakannu, which told the tragic story of a young couple caught between feuding families, and the film performed well and ran for over one hundred days at the box office. The film had featured him alongside actress Yuvarani, as did Pasumpon, while his Nadodi Mannan became a box office failure.

Vignesh Shivan is an Indian film director, actor and lyric writer who works in Tamil cinema. He has been regularly associated in projects involving Silambarasan, Dhanush and Anirudh Ravichander, as well as helming independent music videos.

Vignesh Shivan was born on 18 September 1985 in Chennai, Tamilnadu. He is a producer and director, known for Jailer (2023), Naanum Rowdy Thaan (2015) and Thaanaa Serndha Koottam (2018). He has been married to Nayanthara since 9 June 2022.
