Litecoin is like the generic version of a product but not a good generic like Kirkland, more of a white label, red letter generic at the dollar store or the rainbow grocery. I personally think that Litecoin reflects the "intrinsic" or "book" value of crypto that has a set distribution schedule of rewards like Bitcoin and Litecoin.

When running light weight(SPV) wallets, you're necessarily trusting that there's a Litecoin node willing to relay your transaction to the miners. There's also a risk of attack through your SPV provider, so, I think running a node is safer. Litecoin nodes are easy to set up because they don't consume too much space, they only need 10 GB.

Litecoin is for usage. Agree, investment is not its strongest value-add. But, you are all forgetting daily use. Bitcoiners are not using Bitcoin daily. Its not for that. Its a long-term asset class. But for folks in Ukraine, Russia, Venezuela, Turkey....they live on Litecoin.
Found old Litecoin Wallet.dat...Help me check it out!
Feb 9, 2022 · Litecoin Core just finished the rescan and the client is still showing zero balances. And when I select the "open wallet" option is shows only the default wallet greyed out....whether thats saying anything. I'm hoping I didn't corrupt something in doing this...though I definitely have wallet.dat copies that I can try also for double check.
