The lake in MacArthur Park is fed by natural springs (although an artificial bottom to the lake was laid during the construction of the Red Line, opened in 1993).

The south side of the park where the lake located is closed for beautification. Reopening will be announced in 2022. There is no boat house at this time. The lake is not open for swimming at this time.
