We will begin with a short panel featuring BSAs with experience in different roles in state government and nonprofits, then break out so you can chat with them directly.

In any event, public interest work covers a huge range of issue areas, including some that people typically think of as “corporate.” The following are some issue areas public interest lawyers work in, along with links to relevant guides.

Private public interest law firms (PPILFs) are involved in many of the same issues addressed by nonprofit public interest legal organizations and government agencies, but in a law firm setting. There is no official test for what establishes a firm as a private public interest law firm.
