The City of Fresno’s plan to annex 9,000 acres and use over 400 acres to build 45,000 new homes was placed on hold on Thursday at the Fresno City Council, in a meeting that went on until almost midnight. The city says SEDA would add much-needed housing and potentially thousands of jobs. Those against the plan say it would only hurt the city and people living in rural areas due to the development, as some areas of the project contain a mix of farmland and ranch-style homes. | CBS47 Fresno
