After watching the sunset over Goblin Valley and with clear skies forecast we settled down for the main event. 100’s of miles from any significant population this is classed as a Bortle 1 dark sky site where the Milky Way casts visible shadows and airglow and Zodiacal light are clearly visible. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Milky Way so clearly and although there was no moon you could still see the landscape around you just from the light of the stars! What an incredible few hours spent watch
