Forge-welding tips: I ain't an expert in forge-welding, but some of my go-to tips include 1. Keep your fire deep, and your piece as high in it as you can and still get the heat you need. 2. Get your metal as hot as you can without burning it. 3. Must look wet to weld. Use flux, and plenty of it. If you can learn later to weld without it more power to ya. Here, I am welding ¼" square stock together, which is great practice. I make a lot of nails out of ¼" square stock, starting with 3" long piece
