Repairing cracked cast iron can be very difficult… the method I’ve used a few times successfully is with @lincolnelectric Techrod 99, a Nickel stick welding electrode that I knock the flux off. I’m running my Aspect 375 at about 210 amps for this weld. In the end the weld is very strong and blends pretty well with the original cast iron metal, especially if it gets painted.
