Welcome to Episode 1 of The Briefing, hosted by Wellsboro Chief of Police Chad Boyce. Wellsboro drivers and pedestrians are urged to be alert and practice caution due to a recent change made to the intersection of Main Street and Central Avenue. Motorists are no longer permitted to turn right on red at the intersection, and new signage has been put in place indicating the updated traffic rules. On Tuesday, May 7th – Wellsboro Area High School hosted the NTL Junior High Track and Field Championships. Athletes from ten schools participated. Wellsboro took first place in both the boys and girls meet, with the girls scoring 162 points, and the boy scoring 133. In the girls meet, Towanda placed second overall with 75, followed by Athens at 59. In the boys meet, Troy placed second with 77 and Athens followed with 74.
