A calm sets in over Humboldt Bay as the sun abandons us to the night. The thick and heavy atmosphere keeps the wind and waves at ease giving a luxurious opportunity for the wildlife to relax and feed. Notice the bird diving in the reflection of the sun along with passing waves of birds in formation. The location is just off the new Waterfront Trail about a quarter mile from our shop on a perfect Eureka evening. On a low tide there are some nice tidepools back this way. And if you are lucky.... t
