Very rare footage of the Type 42 destroyer HMS Gloucester passing the US Battleship USS Wisconsin shortly before operation Desert Storm, 1990. Notice a US Navy Seahawk helicopter at the stern of the ship and her almost unthinkable combination of Second World War era 406mm guns, Tomahawk cruise missiles and Phalanx CIWS. Around half a year after this footage was taken, HMS Gloucester shot down an Iraqi Silkworm missile, leaving it to fall into the water just 640m away from the Wisconsin's sister
